AUGUST 18th
“FAMILY PRESERVATION DAY”

A REQUEST OF OUR FEDERAL CONGRESS

Hallmark Cards, needs another day for celebration in America. More importantly America’s Families need a day of celebration, a celebration in reverence and respect for the cornerstone in the foundation of our society, our culture, our nation. The cornerstone is the Family and we must respect and preserve that cornerstone for without it the foundation of our society and culture is gone. Without a foundation, we are a nation no more!

Today, more than ever the Family is being pulled from every possible direction. Constant attempts are made to diminish the significance and importance of the family. The Family is being torn apart. What is happening to Families is purely heart wrenching because the Family is not accorded the reverence and respect it deserves. The result is and will continue to be devastation which can be seen any night on the news or read in any paper.

Yet the Family is important.  It is no wonder that in the 21st century educators marvel at the fact that the single most significant common denominator for children who get the best scores on college entrance exams is; having dinner at least one night a week with their FAMILY. The Family provides what children need.

The Family is endangered. Yet the Family is the social hub from which emanates the correct pulse for tomorrow.  The Family must be accorded the respect and reverence it rightfully deserves. As with endangered species around the globe, our Congress has taken steps to recognize and protect that which is endangered.   Accordingly the first step towards promoting family preservation begins here.

We dedicated and concerned citizens from all walks of life; from all corners of this nation; from all ethnicities, religions and cultures; we respectfully ask our Federal Congress to recognize the commanding significance of the Family and the need to preserve the Family by formal Congressional recognition by declaring August 18th  “FAMILY PRESERVATION DAY”.

America’s Families, indeed America itself, deserves no less.

Please join us on August 15th. - 17th., 2008 at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C., where we will request that the United States Congress declare August 18th
